Presentation Abstract and Workshop Abstract

The IAFSM will be accepting Abstracts for the November 4-8 2024 conference at the San Diego Hilton Bayfront, San Diego, CA, USA.  At this time, we welcome submissions for Conference Presentation Abstracts and Workshop Abstracts.

Our conference theme: Unifying Essential 3D Forensic Measurements

Presentation Abstracts to be considered may be relevant to the conference theme and also relevant to crime scene reconstruction, forensic metrology and the use of 3D technologies to document crime scenes.  We will also consider abstracts on case studies, new techniques and technologies, research and topics that may be relevant to both organizations.

When submitting a presentation abstract, please include:

Name of main Presenter
Title of Abstract
Presentation summary; 300 words or less
Biography, 100 words or less

Submissions for presentations and workshops are open for an unlimited time for the 2024 conference.

Presentations will be 25 minutes with a 5 - minute question and answer time.

The IAFSM will also be accepting Workshop abstracts to be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024. When submitting a Workshop abstract, please include:

Name of Presenters and Company
Title of Workshop – please indicate this is for the Conference Workshop
Workshop summary; 300 words or less

Workshops will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.  Workshops will begin at 8am.  You will be notified of your time and room assignment when your workshop abstract has been accepted.

Workshops need to follow the theme, provide educational content and demonstrations are welcome.

Once abstracts have been submitted, they will be sent to the conference committee for review.  Please note that there is a limited number of presentation and workshop times.  Once the conference committee has selected both types of abstracts, they will be sent to each Board of Directors for conference approval and you will be notified of your presentation day and time and/or workshop room and time. Acceptance of presentation requires conference registration.

If you are interested in sponsoring at this conference, we welcome you to submit an abstract.  We ask that if you are interested in the workshop, please keep in mind your abstract will be reviewed and we strongly ask, if accepted, that you limit the workshop to teaching a new technique and not presenting as a sales pitch.
